Almost five years have passed since FOX Match first
introduced poles. Many of todays modern poles are lightweight continental
models, often with the addition of power kits which counter balance the
poles making them feel top heavy and unwieldy. This is not the case with any
FOX Match poles. Being a UK based company, all FOX poles have been - and
always will be - designed and developed in the UK in
consultation with UK anglers, for UK fishing. Today’s UK Match anglers want
poles that are capable of handling double figure carp found in
commercial fisheries, as well as skimmers and roach found in canals. Every
FOX pole is a true all rounder and comes with a spare package allowing the
angler to carry one model in his holdall, safe in the knowledge that it will
accommodate every angling situation likely to be encountered. It is almost a
case of why carry two when one will do? |

Multi Directional Carbon or MDC is a new process used exclusively on Fox
poles. Carbon is woven horizontally and vertically on the inner and outer
layers of all sections and these "sandwich" a middle stratum, composed of
carbon fibre "spiralling" the length of the sections. The multi directional
carbon is what provides the poles with vast strength and allows the weight
to be distributed evenly throughout the pole providing exceptional balance.
The MDC allows all three poles to handle elastics up to a number 16 with
ease. The strength will come as a surprise to many, as the lightness and
excellent balance brought about by the use of the MDC make the poles
extremely easy to handle and belie the immense power and capability. |
