WHY SHOULD I USE A KORDA LEAD?
The answer is simple and 3 fold, Quality, Design and Information.
ARDON COATING - the best in the business
Totally exclusive to us this high-density plastic powder is baked onto the lead to ensure it will survive the most demanding carping situations all over the world. This powder usually comes in black and white only. Korda have invested many thousands of pounds to provide you with it not only in green and brown but also in exactly the right shades. How can I be so confident? Well, before Korda placed their order they went to their local pit and laid many different brown and green swatches (pieces of plastic card) on the lakebed and chose the two which blended in best on a clear spot and a weed covered area. These two colours became the basis of the gravely brown and weedy green coatings with a few more specials added for extra camo. Korda would put our leads through the Pepsi Challenge with any other coated lead on the market for effective camouflage, chuck your rig in the edge next time you are fishing and see how your rig fairs! It's these small improvements that make our systems the best on the market.

QUALITY Korda check the quality of the leads at every stage of the manufacturing process. Production Director Steve Spurgeon was hired many years ago to oversee quality and output of Korda's workforce, made up of mostly carp anglers, more recently his assistant Sean Stockdale (Woody to his mates) does the same. The lads at Korda take pride in their work and I hope it shows. Recently Korda have moved over to stronger lighter stainless loops on the swivel leads and Korda are constantly looking for online improvements to the range. As soon as Korda are aware of an improvement they work towards including in the manufacturing process, you can rest assured Korda will never stop striving for better quality.

DESIGN Nothing in Korda's range is there for the sake of it; the products come from fishing, from consultants or from you the angler. All our leads are made to be as versatile as possible and as user friendly too. One common thread is that all are tapered towards the back of the lead in order to reduce the risk of tangles to the highest degree, there's no point having a super duper rig out there if its tangled up in a little ball. In testament to Korda's design choices the range still has leads in it that were started with 12 years ago, the original Swivel Distance has been made more nose heavy and renamed the Tournament Casting and the classic Pear Lead is the same as it was on the first day it was poured. Then came the Flatliner In-Lines which have become the industry standard shapes and more recently the addition of the Grippa leads has put Korda head and shoulders in front of the crowd, as the only real forward thinking terminal tackle outfit. Korda do not restrict our influences to the UK alone and Korda's network of top anglers in Europe is also a major influence in the product range.

INFORMATION Since day one Korda have seen that providing you the angler with the correct information so that you can apply it to your own fishing as an integral responsibility of manufacturing tackle. Korda was the first to write a booklet solely on lead systems, their second book Advanced Carp Rigs is now becoming a collectors item, and more recently Video's have been a great medium to pass on Korda's passion for carp fishing.
